I went with two friends, and we have read some negative reviews about the quality of the beds/mattresses, the AC and the cleanliness of the rooms, so I was a little afraid to be honest, but the beds we had were very comfortable, the bedroom and the bathroom were both clean, the AC worked well, we had towels, shower gel, shampoo, soap etc, the room had a fridge so we were able to keep our water cold, and it was super hot in NYC so this was a huge plus and we always loved to return to the room for some rest. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel before check in and after check out. The location is excellent, theaters are 5-10 minutes away on foot, we never even had to take the subway or a car to get to them, which was important as our main program was Broadway shows. We went further to explore as well of course, and the subway is near too. The front desk staff is awesome, very kind and helpful, so thank you for that! This is a lovely hotel, would definitely stay here again.

The room was amazingly clean. It was very nice, much nicer than what we were expecting when we booked it. We feared that due to the fantastic price we paid online, it might not much of a room. It was great. It has everything we could want in a room. It was a bit small but it was just me and my wife so it was perfect for us. The need was comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. The staff was friendly and helpful. Another major benefit of the DaVinci was the amazing location. We were close to everything we wanted to do. After day 1, while we were out, the staff came in and remade the room and folded all our clothes that were left in the bed. Without reservation we would book there again!

DaVinci Hotel is a wonderful New York bargain. it is a three star and the building is older. But everything is clean and freshly painted and the lobby has been completely updated. The staff is excellent: friendly, available and helpful. There is an Italian restaurant downstairs. Broadway and Times Square are within a ten to fifteen minute walk. Central Park is a reasonable walk in the opposite direction. I have stayed there several times.

Good location, beautiful entrance and lobby, and we got a great price through Booking.com. The hallways and room were clean. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. We were allowed to store our luggage behind the desk both before our room was available and after we checked out.

The receptionists and housekeeping staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was great for both Broadway, Central Park and subway stations for the other locations in New York I wanted to get to.

EVERYTHING, before coming we read some reviews and we we’re optimistic and hopeful and sure enough we got the best hotel in town! As far as any negatives my goodness , ‘get real ‘ people what do you want coming to New York, the most authentic experience right? Rooms on the small side,cost is kept to a minimum hence no coffee facilities. There are Coffee shops everywhere nearby- Central Park / Columbus circle subway so close by which was a dream. This hotel when we first saw it was WOW, a building like what we see on the telly/TV it’s not a fancy hotel which are so like for like around the globe….. You are in New York, therefore live like a New Yorker. The reception is intimate and welcoming, like coming home. The room small but not tiny like we had anticipated. The most comfortable bed, like a marsh mallow my husband said waking up the first morning! Two gripes, water pressure in the shower not supper but we showered just the same and figured water has to reach all these buildings around who are we to complain. The second gripe was my toilet seat wasn’t soft closing, I feel so precious even writing this! Bonus to this quaint hotel has the Joe G underground bar attached. So cool! Not only do residents get a discount but the lovely Joe & his beautiful wife Patricia work there most nights. They are super friendly and welcome you into the family straight away, the atmosphere is second to none. On my last night Joe asked if I had any issues, I mentioned my toilet seat wasn’t soft closing, in front of my eyes he asked his maintenance man to replace my seat! I thought he was joking, felt embarrassed that I mentioned it. I returned to my room 203 & sure enough I had a new soft closing toilet seat. Joe is a proud person who cares about his guests and can only action anything brought to his attention.

I loved staying at the Da Vinci. Every staff member that I met was very friendly and incredibly helpful. I arrived in the morning to work sales calls all around Manhattan, and they let me drop off my overnight bag and kept it safe for me all day until I checked in later, and also for most of the next day after I checked out. The whole room, the bed, and the bathroom were all very clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. 10/10 would recommend.
